So I have a confession to make. I have been holding this couples destination session out on everyone for a long time! Back in 2015 or so we had an amazing opportunity to work with this fabulous couple in Kemah! You may recognize this girl from previous sessions, and she is just as beautiful now as she was then!
For Rio & Tyler’s one year anniversary, as a couple, we went down to Kemah for a sweet couples destination session! They were absolutely amazing! The sky was blue, but it was dreadfully hot! About mid day we took a break and had lunch at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company! Yes like the one that’s mentioned in Forest Gump!
At one of our locations we almost got a parking ticket! We stopped for all of a few moments to capture some last minute photos, when a meter cop pulled up next to Tyler’s car. Thankfully we managed to talk ourselves out of one, and quickly retreated. Although the day was long it was still so much fun!
A little about the couple
Rio & Tyler met at a music festival called Life in Color. They were best friends for about 3 months before he finally asked her out. It was two days before Christmas and he was over hanging out with her in the hot tub!
Sounds so much better than how my husband and I started dating! My husband said “I’ll give you a try”. But it makes for a fun story to tell!
We had the pleasure of meeting Tori, with Victoria Photos, this past Sunday! We are academy students together and she was only in town for a few days! We have never met before, but thought it would be a lot of fun to meet up and have a mini session of each other! Let me tell you though… our day, so planned out, ended up being crazy!
We met up around 9, which was already later than we had planned due to an issue with picking up the rental car, and headed out to Poo Poo Point. Well we couldn’t find Poo Poo, so we decided to go back to our original plan, and head to Rattlesnake Mountain. Unfortunately halfway there, and after making what was supposed to be a quick pit stop, we ended up having to turn back so David could take care of a call.
So a few hours behind our original plan, we head back out once he was finished! The rest of the day was for the most part easy going! We took pictures at Rattlesnake Mountain, then headed to Rattlesnake Lake. Unfortunately because of how packed it was we ended up skipping the lake and heading to Snoqualmie falls, to see the waterfall!
Well… we faced yet another hiccup! We were rapidly running out of time, and weren’t able to even look for the specific path that leads down to the waterfall. Thankfully we found a nice little wooded area where we could take pictures fairly uninterrupted!
Though we had an interesting day, full of little hiccups, and interruptions, I made a new friend, and we had fun! I am so glad that I had the chance to meet up with Tori, while she was here! She is too adorable, and too much fun to be around!
Could Tori be any cuter? Seriously! Loved meeting her!
Just a behind the scenes of me working! Love this shot, thanks to my husband!
We interrupt your regular programing for this quick shot of, “oh shoot, I think there is a bug!” Thanks to David for snapping this shot! Oh the life of taking pictures in the forest!
Have to end with something super fun!
After getting two new prime lenses I was dying to test them out! These two lovely ladies were willing to help me out! We had a blast working together and I was so lucky to test my lenses out on them! We broke up the sessions in two as to not wear them out. These are of Iris! She has great style and definitely didn’t shy away from the camera! I am so thankful that they were willing to work with me! I definitely miss them back in Houston and hope they are doing really well!
The timing for this little shoot could not have been more perfect. Little Henry was just precious beyond words. He was all giggles and smiles, with a little fussy thrown in. He was fascinated with the flashing lights and the pretty ornaments, but you can see that he is scheming about something! We had a blast working again with Tiffany & Walter and their little new addition, Henry!
