A Week of Freedom

Lifestyle, Personal

While I wanted to be productive last week- I wasn’t. David had the week off, and we had plans to get a lot of work done. However, what we decided to do was have a week of freedom. We spent the entire week together, reconnecting, talking, and having fun. Even though it wasn’t productive as I would have liked, what we did was much better.

Truthfully, I beat myself up about it all week until Sunday. That’s how long it took me to realize that reconnecting with David and taking time for ourselves was as good! And we were productive in other areas of our life, only not where I wanted to be.

Last week I started a new fitness and meal plan! I had seen this regime pop up everywhere, and after I had reached the F*it stage, I pulled the trigger and bought Body Boss for myself. Last week was week one of pre-training. It totally kicked my ass, and I spent the week sore and loving it. Sunday, we meal prepped for the first time and learned to do it at the beginning of the day… not eight at night. The food, however, is fantastic and I look forward to trying whatever is next on the meal plan. The workouts are nice and short which works for me.

We watched anime, played games, enjoyed walks and iced coffees, discussed tasks needed to push us further, and listened/watched Tony Robbins. I started Gabrielle Berstein’s book, Judgement Detox. And we talked through some bad habits as well as decisions. It was peaceful. Unfortunately, it also hit home how much we still desperately want to work together from anywhere in the world and on our own terms. When the week was over, and we both had to go back to work it was a little more than depressing.

At the end of the week, we decided this wasn’t enough. Weeks of freedom shouldn’t come every once in a while. They should be available to us whenever we want to take them! So that is what we are working towards even harder. The ability to have time for ourselves whenever we want to. To travel the world at the drop of a hat. Also to work from anywhere in the world; as long as we are together.

What would a week or even a life of freedom look like to you? Let me know below in the comments!
